LS Cable & System ( Chairman & CEO: Christopher Koo) announced on the 312st of March that the company has succeeded in winning a 380 kV extra high voltage cable contract of Euro 950.000.
(approx. KRW 1,5 billion) initiated by Tennet, the Dutch Transmission System Operator (TSO).
LS Cable & System is the first Korean cable maker to receive to win a 380 kV cable contract in Europe, the market occupied by leading cable manufacturers.
For this project LS cable will supply around 2,6 km of 380 kV cable which will be installed by February next year.
The 380 kV cable will be installed between the NUON Diemen 34 Plant and the 380 KV station at Diemen (The Netherlands) .
The contract comprises of the supply of cables as well as of the supervision of cable laying, installation of terminations and commissioning testing.
