■ Invites over 130 candidate recruits, holds congratulatory event, offers study tours
■ Vice Chairman Ja-kyun Koo urges them to ‘become “imaginers” who can fuse and integrate different disciplines’  

LS Industrial Systems finalized the recruitment of over 130 freshman staff through its conglomerate-wide public recruitment program this year again, and conducted a program to cultivate them into Green Business Leaders early on, even before their joining the company. 

From December 15 to 17, LSIS held a party to congratulate and welcome new freshman staff members, and offered them a study tour of Jeju Island, giving them an opportunity to experience the Smart Grid Demonstration Complex, which has adopted the company’s Smart Grid technology. 

An LSIS official said, “We prepared the event to enable them to share the company’s vision, to enhance their understanding of the company through dialogue with their colleagues and senior employees,” adding, “The program was organized to give them a chance to visit the Jeju Demonstration complex and take a first-hand look into examples of the adoption of Smart Grid technology, a core area of Green Business. By so doing, we aimed to cultivate them into Green Innovators who will lead the company over the long term.” 

At the congratulatory party held at the company’s head office in Anyang, Gyeonggi Province, Vice Chairman and CEO Ja-kyun Koo of LSIS met the employee candidates in person, exchanged greetings with them, and urged them to aim to become human resources who spearhead the company’s growth.

Vice Chairman Koo said, ‘In this convergence era, when different industrial sectors are fused and integrated, LSIS is a representative firm of convergence synergy in which electricity, automation, and green business are interconnected like a spider’s web. As such, you will need to arm yourselves with solid capacity as members of the representative convergence firm of this era.’  

Vice Chairman Koo also said, ‘“Imagineer” is a compound word of ‘imagine’ and engineer. In this era, students majoring in humanities can survive only when they understand technology, and engineering students can survive and thrive only when they learn the humanities as well. To that end, I urge you to become “imaginers”
