■ Presenting total solutions in power transmission and distribution and in IT convergence power equipment
■ Pushing ahead with new growth engines such as HVDC, solar energy, and electric-vehicle electronic parts
The representative electric and automation company LSIS (Vice Chairman and CEO Koo Ja-kyun) will participate in the 2012 SIEF (Seoul International Electric Fair) to be held for four days from September 11 ? 14.
LSIS will sponsor 25 exhibition booths (225㎡), the most of all the participating companies. Displayed products will include power equipment and T&D systems in the power transmission and distribution category, automation solutions designed to enhance energy efficiency, and LSIS green businesses such as HVDC, solar energy and electric-vehicle electronic parts.
LSIS plans to display not only its existing lineup of power and automation products, but also its recently highlighted value-added Susol RMU and Susol lineup as strategic products. The company also seeks to comprehensively provide HMI and PLC with the application of advanced software, bolstering its image as a total solution provider in the power transmission and distribution category and in IT convergence power equipment.
Notably, at the current exhibition, LSIS will display the convertible transformer that it installed at Jeju Geumak Power Conversion Station and Hallim Power Conversion Station after it completed its development last year. It will also display the recently developed thyristor valve and other core HVDC system technologies, boosting its leader image in the high-voltage direct-current transmission technology category.
In addition, other products to be displayed include underwater-resistance eco-friendly water-surface solar energy systems, electric-vehicle electronic parts that have been recently supplied to the three global vehicle manufacturers of GM, Renault and Daimler, and the country’s first Korean-type energy management system dubbed KEMS that the company developed jointly with KEPCO KDN and Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute. These products are among LSIS’ future growth engines.
LSIS will set up a recruitment booth in the exhibition center for the purpose of providing job consulting to university students and for hiring skilled recruits.
An LSIS official said, “At the current exhibition, we will present a full lineup of power devices for T&D systems as well as advanced technologies of ANSI and UL developed in response to overseas projects, bolstering LSIS’ global profile. Notably, we will provide an opportunity for viewers to experience HVDC, Smart Home, solar energy, EV-Relay, and AMI so as to strengthen our image of leading the smart grid industry.”
