Employees of LS Cable & System (Chairman & CEO: Christopher Koo) purchased fallen fruits to help farmers stricken by typhoons Bolaven and Tembin. To help the fruit-growing farmers in Jeollabuk-do, LS Cable & System announced on September 9 that it held an event for buying fallen fruits (pears) for three days from September 5th through the 7th.  Employees participated and purchased 5tons(approximately 5kg 1,000boxes) of Jeollabuk-do pears . 

In an effort to help relieve the anxiety of the farmers who were victimized by the typhoons, LS Cable & System prepared this event in line with its management philosophy of ‘LSpartnership’ which pursues “a greater value together.” The quality of the fallen fruits is as good as that of normal fruits, but their price is less than half, so they were very popular among the employees of LS Cable & System.

“We prepared this event to help the farmers victimized by the typhoons,” said an official of LS Cable & System. “We are planning to engage in more such social contribution activities based on LSpartnership.”
