Seoul, Korea, April 23, 2010 - LS Cable (Chairman & CEO Christopher Koo) will attend renowned expositions, such as the Hannover Messe in Germany, which is held until April 23, and the 2010 IEEE PES Transmission and Distribution Conference and Exposition in New Orleans, in a bid to accelerate its attempt to make inroads into the North American and European market. The Hannover Messe is the world’s largest machinery exposition, which 5,000 companies from over 60 countries around the world participate in and more than 200,000 people visit, and the 2010 IEEE PES Transmission and Distribution Conference and Exposition in New Orleans is the largest power transmission exposition, which more than 520 companies participate and more than 20,000 people attend.
In step with the global trends, i.e. ‘eco-friendly’ and ‘green growth,’ LS Cable showcased various products based on the main concepts of ‘Energy Efficiency’ and “Blue & Green Energy Solution’ at the Hannover Messe. In particular, next-generation cable solutions, including submarine, superconducting and ultra high voltage cables, and high-end products and renewable energy products, such as railroad, automobiles, wind power generation, ships, marine and photovoltaic products, were introduced at this exposition, and they were favorably received by attendees.
High-ranking executives, including President & CEO Jongho Son, and vice presidents Suhyeong Cho and Myeonggyu Chou, attended the Hannover Messe, and rolled out an aggressive marketing campaign for customers and spectators. In particular, Mr. Son had visited a client in the US, and his departure for Europe was almost impossible due to the volcanic eruption in Iceland. So he flew to Milan, Italy, and drove more than 20 hours to Hannover, and gave a presentation on our products to attendees in person, which became the talk of the town.
Besides, Mr. Jongho Son is planning to attend the leadership conference of SPSX (Superior Essex), the US affiliate of LS Cable, along with Mr. Christopher Koo from April 26 to April 29, and share our management goals and corporate vision with the participants.
“Despite the inconvenient traffic due to a natural disaster our executives attended the expo in person, and this proves that they have a strong will to break into the North American and European market,” said LS Cable. “Everyone at LS Cable will try their best to firmly establish the company as global No. 1 in 2015 by engaging in diverse marketing campaigns, such as participation in overseas expos.”
