■  LS Cable is set to supply more than US$10 million worth of coaxial feeder cables for wireless communication and related materials starting this year

LS Cable (CEO, Chayol Koo) recently acquired the approval to become the global supplier of coaxial feeder cables for wireless communication facilities from Vodafone, U.K. (data transferring cables connecting antenna in base station and equipment). It will facilitate their aim of competing in the overseas market in the communication business sector.

Vodafone, headquartered in U.K., is the biggest company for wireless communication in the world. They supply mobile communication services to 180 million subscribers in 27 countries worldwide including Europe, the Middle East, Asia and America.

The global supplier approval is acquired after an overall evaluation by Vodafone on the product quality and business implementation competence of LS Cable, which is a first by any domestic cable company. Through this, LS Cable is positioned to become a global company for coaxial feeder cables for communication.
 
Starting this year, LS Cable is expected to supply more than US$10 million cables and related materials to Vodafone annually. Taking this opportunity, they plan to also reinforce their marketing activities for other companies providing wireless communication service.

The optical feeder cables of LS Cable already acquired an approval for product reliability and safety, which has the same legal force as the UL mark from the ETL (Electric Test Laboratories). They decided to develop full-scale marketing activities for major communication companies in the USA from this year.

As a next-generation optical cable introducing state-of-the-art materials to existing products and increase eco-friendly characteristics and user convenience, the optical communication cable acquired ETL approval. LS Cable succeeded to develop this cable in April 2006, the fourth company to do so worldwide.
