■ Draws citizens’ attention through lighting event 
■ Held a concert in the front yard of LS Tower from 8:00 pm with famous singer Jang Na-Ra and M.
■ LG group CEOs and their families including the provincial governor, and members of the National Assembly, were invited 

LS Group (Chairman: John Koo) constructed the cutting edge intelligent building with a total space of 15,700 pyongs on a site measuring 2,700 pyongs. The building has seventeen stories above ground and three below, located in Hogye-dong, Anyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, and LS Group will hold the inauguration on May 23rd.

Since the groundbreaking ceremony in 2006, LS Tower has been completed in two years. In April, about 1,000 employees of LS Cable and LS Industrial Systems moved in. It is expected that 1,500 persons will work in this building when other affiliate companies would move in by the year end. 

Anyang City, where LS Tower is located, is the very place where LS Group started its business. The Anyang plant, established in 1966, was the birthplace of LS Cable. 

Before the ceremony, LS Group decided to hold an event to establish eight searchlights at LS Tower, which will become a new landmark in Anyang City in the future. They will light up the sky for 4 hours from 8:00 to 12:00 pm for 4 days from the 20th to 23rd.

LS Group’s transfer to other city is the first case within the big 20 groups. To celebrate the completion of LS Tower with the citizens, the top singers in Korea such as Jang Nara and M (Lee Minwoo) were invited to hold a concert.

In the concert, pop singers and Elecookie also participated. About 500 Anyang citizens participated in this concert and it ended with a great success.

The inauguration will consist of the main ceremony and the event after the ceremony in the front yard and the main hall of LS Tower. CEOs of the six major companies including John Koo, LS Chairman, Christopher Koo, Vice-chairman of LS Cable, Koo Cha-Yub and Vice-chairman of Gaon Cable participated in the various events such as ribbon-cutting and opening ceremony, and hand-printing event
