□ On March 2, UNIST (Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology, President Moo-Je Cho) held the 7th Board of Trustees meeting of 2011 at Lotte Hotel in Seoul, and elected Christopher Koo as the 4th Chairman of the Board of Trustees, who will serve a two-year term.

 
□ Currently serving as Chairman of the Committee on Science and Technology, Federation of Korean Industries, Chairmain Koo served as a private-sector member of the 2nd National Science and Technology Commission, and received the Gold Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit on the 44th Day of Electricity.

 
○ As Chairman Koo has been greatly interested in fostering talented people, he has contributed great deal to industry-university cooperation as Chairman of the Committee on Science and Technology, Federation of Korean Industries.

 
□ Emphasizing that a global talent is “a person who leads change with an open mind and professionalism,” he said “I accepted the position with a view to doing what I can to help the outstanding students of UNIST become heroes on the international stage, and I will join hands with other trustees to help President Cho, so that UNIST can transform itself into a global research-oriented university contributing to the life of humanity.”
