Sim Jae Seol, President of LS Mtron of LS Group, which is specialized in industrial machines and high-tech parts, emphasized, in the CEO’s Special Lecture on ideal talents held in Chonbuk National University organized by the government of Jeonlabukdo and Jeonlabukdo Human Resource Development Support Center on 24th of the month with 300 students’ participation, on the importance of the talents like a chameleon who can lead changes actively without losing the focus in the world of changes now and in the future.
The president asserted an ideal concept of talents like a chameleon by saying that now the time that experts was recognized and enjoyed stable life without consistent efforts has gone and in this the current time when the distinction between industrial areas is vague and exchanges between industries occur often, talents who see the changes now and in the future and can change themselves according to the changes would come into the spotlight.
President Sim said that new recruits are much more excellent in adaptation and positiveness to changes compared to previous generation and experiencing various lifves from university is the very way of taking good nutrition to become the main human resources in the 21th century. Then, he stressed that for this, they should make must-do items rather than making must-have items. In other words, establishment of systemic goals and behavioural guidance and cultivation of abilities and experiences that are suitable to them should be carried out first.
Additionally, he mentioned that LS Mtron will employ foreigners for 10% of general positions until 2015 and emphasized on becoming a global player. President Sim stated that in order to lead competition with real abilities in any markets in all around the world and become a talent who maximizes the results of business, people first should cultivate the Global 2MC (Global Mind/Manner, Global Communication/Capability).
Finally, he quoted the German philosopher, Hegel’s words, “There is nothing achieve without passion in the world! “, and students greatly responded to him when he vividly introduced the passion of a ballerina, Kang Su Jin, a soccer player, Park Ji Seong, and himself to photographing.
The president of Jenlabukdo Human Resources Development Support Center, Park Hyeong Chang said that this CEO’s Special Lecture would contribute to creation of employment for potential talents in Jeonbuk area and will continue to play a role as a hub that develops and supports tailored human resource education programs by establishing networks between industry, academy, research and the government.
The special lecture was planned to seek for creation of tailored workplaces through the CEO’s Special Lecture and was proceeded in the large meeting room of Number 8 Building of the Engineering Collage of Jeonbuk National University with participation of not only students in the university but also officers from the City of Jeonju, Jeonju Total Employment Support Center and institutions related to educating talents in Jeonju.
