LS Cable & System (President & CEO: Ja-eun Koo) embarks on targeting Korean and overseas markets following successful development of the world’s thinnest 10Gbps LAN cable. Measuring 7.0mm in outer diameter, the thinnest in the world compared to 7.2 ? 8mm of other products developed by overseas companies, this product is lightweight, easy to install and significantly saves installation space, leading to reducing construction cost. 

In general, LAN (local area network) cables are divided according to Category (CAT), an international standard. CAT5 (100Mbps transmission) or CAT5E (400Mbps transmission) are widely used in normal households. The new product is a CAT6A, a high-end product capable of transmitting data by up to 10Gbps. 

As a result of its characteristic to stably and swiftly transmit massive data, the demand for this product is increasing especially in areas where massive data processing is necessary, such as data centers, research labs, airports and medical facilities. Accordingly, LS Cable & System plans to accelerate its entry into overseas markets in China and Europe as well as targeting major data centers and facilities in Korea.
