■ Expansion of target market from the existing low-tension to high-tension equipment · large-size substation project
LSIS is expanding to the Central and South American market in full scale centering on Ecuador, where investment in the electricity infrastructure market has been increasing recently.
LSIS held electric power equipment launching show and a technology seminar on the 4th of last month at Sheraton Hotel in Quito, the capital of Ecuador.
Held jointly with local electric power equipment sales company and partner INSELEC, this event was attended by 400 VIP customers including Jung In-kyun, Korean Ambassador to Ecuador, Consul Jun Han-il, Ecuador Electricity Board, professors at a local engineering university, and personnel from oil company to learn about the main products of LSIS such as low/high-tension electric power equipment and relay/measuring instrument and discussed measures for expanding to the Central and South American market.
LSIS provided not only the existing low-tension (1000V and less) electric power equipment but also the solution to enter the high-tension electric power equipment market in the future such as transformer and circuit breaker. It plans to secure the large-size electricity infrastructure project order that is expected to be placed by the government.
The low-tension electric power equipment market volume of Ecuador is valued at approximately 50 million dollars, and the import equipment market is led by global companies such as Schneider, Siemens, and GE.
Through this event, LS Industrial System is planning to expand its market share in Ecuador actively to rank among the TOP 3 in 5 years.
Through this, market expansion is planned to be accelerated in not only Ecuador but also other South American areas such as Brazil, Chile, and Venezuela.
“For the Ecuador Electricity Board, which is highly interested in expanding the electricity infrastructure, total solution capability for not only the existing low-tension field but also the high-tension electricity field was described. In the future, we are planning to obtain large project orders in turnkey mode actively such as compact substation, etc.,” said Ok-hyeon Park, overseas business manager of electric power equipment in LSIS.
He went on to explain that the Central and South American market is maintaining a 4% annual growth rate despite the global economic stagnation and actively pushing for the expansion of industrial infrastructure construction, which is an emerging market with big potential. “These events of meeting customers directly to introduce the products and technology and localization strategy of hearing the voices of the local industry will be expanded,” he added
