LS Industrial Systems (LSIS) was honored as the top company in the Smart Grid Sector, after receiving the Grand Prize in the 2010 Consumer Choice Typical Brand Awards hosted by the Korea Brand Management Association (KBMA). 

LSIS was awarded the grand prize at the awards held at the Grand Ballroom in Grand Hilton Seoul hotel on September 9, having earned widespread trust and recognition among government, businesses and consumers.

A source of LSIS remarked, “We have been highly evaluated for our constant fostering of Smart Grid, a core element of low carbon, green growth policy, while favoring long-term benefits over the pursuit of profit.” “It is really meaningful for us to be trusted and recognized by local governments and businesses, as well as by general consumers.”  

LSIS is intensively fostering the Smart Grid sector, which includes futuristic electric device parts of automobiles, green power IT, new renewable energy and eco-power equipment as new growth engine businesses. 

Thanks to these efforts, LS IS, as a leader of the ear of low carbon, green growth, has been recognized as a typical brand of Smart Grid by consumers.

Since Vice Chairman Ja-kyun Koo took office as CEO, LSIS declared Greenocomotion (the drive to make green policy a growth engine) as its green business vision in April of last year. The firm also proclaimed its determination to take off as a green company, primarily by pursuing zero greenhouse gas emissions and improving energy efficiency by 50% via the provision of differentiated green solutions. 

LSIS promotes the implementation of domestic and international green businesses, and has set its green business field sales target at KRW 2.1 trillion, or 47% of the company’s total sales, centered on Smart Grid, by 2015.
