■ Developing kit type, minimized electric loss with enhanced safety and construction convenience
■ With built-in optical sensor, a heat detecting system, fire prevention is available.
With the increasing demand in Busduct that transfers high capacity electricity, LS Cable (CEO: Koo Chayo) developed a compact type new product whose function was greatly enhanced. Full-scale sales start in the first half of 2007.
Different from general cables, Busduct has the conductor and insulator sandwiched inside the metal housing, and it is a system where big capacity electricity can be transferred even in a narrow space. It is normally used in buildings and factories where high-capacity electricity is required.
Compact type Busduct is a newly developed LS Cable kit type that joins the contact part of housing like a connector. Reduces the contact resistance of the contact part, minimizes electric loss and with the construction convenience greatly enhanced as well as safety of power transmission line.
Using aluminum housing, this new product is lightweight, 40% less compared to existing steel Busducts. Power transmission amount is available up to 7,500A at maximum, a 25% increase. Moreover it is evaluated as excellent product for fire prevention since optical sensor detecting the temperature of transmission line in real-time can be applied
LS Cable plans to establish a production system of new product during the first half of this year, and aggressively develop overseas market as well as domestic market since its application expands to harbor facilities, ships, etc. as well as buildings and factories.
