■ LSIS vows to secure quality capabilities for the supplier and solid partnership with Sungshin
■ LSIS names the supplier its second workplace and emphasizes the latter’s responsibilities
■ Best quality innovation case presented along with the awarding
LSIS (Vice Chairman and CEO: Koo Ja-kyun) held a “shared growth talk concert” on August 12 at its supplier Sungshin in Cheongwon, Chungcheongbuk-do to secure quality capabilities for the supplier and to establish solid partnership.
The shared-growth talk concert, the second one since it was launched in Q1 this year, aims to emphasize the importance and responsibilities of LSIS’s suppliers as second workplaces and to listen to suppliers’ difficulties along with recommendations.
Attending the event were 30 personnel including LSIS CP Kim Jeong-ok, Shared Growth Team Head Lee Seung-jun, and Sungshin CEO Woo Seong-won. The event programs included onsite tour, dialogue between LSIS CPO and Sungshin CEO, quality innovation case presentation by Sungshin, and awarding of the best employees.
In the LSIS CPO-Sungshin CEO talk, they discussed the recommendations of the supplier’s employees, gathered in “a jar of hope”; this was followed by a vow to bolster quality competitiveness and improve work through innovative ideas and by the awarding of employees who best contributed to colleague communication.
LSIS and Sungshin have worked together for about 30 years. Sungshin posted annual sales of only KRW 100 million at that time, but has now grown into a small yet strong firm with annual sales of KRW 26 billion.
In particular, Sungshin overcame its insolvency crisis with the financial support of LSIS when South Korea was hit by a financial crisis. Since then, Sungshin has endeavored to make bold investments in supplying better products to LSIS and has grown into the best supplier of LSIS based on strong partnership to create mutual values.
According to LSIS CPO Kim Jeong-ok, who led the event, Sungshin made bold investments and successfully established its businesses, whereas other small and medium-sized enterprises know the necessity of the latest facilities and computerization systems but feel the corresponding financial burden and hesitate to invest. LSIS vows to explore continuously the exemplary shared growth model of LSIS-Sungshin, he says.
“Our company has, for over 30 years, exerted effort to supply more perfect and reliable products to LSIS. Today, it has grown to secure huge sales volumes. We vow to help LSIS become a global corporation,” Sungshin CEO Woo Seong-won said.
Meanwhile, to secure long-term technological competitiveness and enjoy shared growth with its suppliers, LSIS has operated since 2008 the ACE club system to guide its suppliers with business know-how and to strengthen their partnership further as well as foster innovation units.
