■ Dispatched overseas volunteers consisting of 24 university students to Vienam 

LS Cable (CEO: Christopher Koo) dispatched university student volunteers to Hanoi, Vietnam jointly with Good Neighbors, an international aid group. Overseas volunteers consisting of 24 university students will develop various public service activities for 11 days till May 23. Such as teaching children, improving the regional environment and holding sports event. 

Representative from the PR Team said that “competition for selecting the volunteer is very high, even more than 100:1. We could feel the energy of university students for overseas volunteer activities.” He also added that “These public service activities are a good occasion for young Korean people to deliver their warmth and love to Vietnam. It will help promote understanding between the two countries.” 

This event was planned for students to do their share in alleviating the world poverty problem and provide an opportunity to directly experience it. It was also to fulfill social contribution and responsibility as a global company. They announced that they also plan to continue their program dispatching university student volunteers to various regions such as Asia and Africa two times a year in the future.
