LSIS dispatched 60 new employees on a training course in Jeju, where LSIS is testing its future technology. The new recruits pledged to do their utmost to realize LSIS’s vision of becoming a world-class heavy electric company.
LSIS invited the new employees to attend a congratulatory event at the LS Tower in Anyang on December 12, followed by the Jeju training program for new employees, which lasted two nights and three days, until December 14.
During the congratulatory event, LSIS Chairman and CEO Koo Ja-kyun pinned the company badge on each of the employees, and expressed his hope that they would foster a spirit of partnership, lead a successful company life, make concerted efforts for their own personal development, and become global talents.
Chairman Koo said, “I can tell from the look in your eyes that you are full of vitality and passion. Our company is lucky to have acquired talents full of passion and excellent qualities such as you. As the CEO, I am very proud of you all.”
He continued, "Joint goals cannot be achieved by one single person. You will learn the value of communication and collaboration with your seniors and colleagues, and foster the LS partnership value to create bigger values.”
After the welcoming event, the employees flew to Jeju accompanied by selected seniors, where they were organized into training teams and worked together on building up their teamwork.
They visited the HVDC test complex in Geumak-ri, Hallim-eup, and LSIS’s smart technology demonstration house, which is installed with LSIS´s smart meters, energy control systems, photovoltaic modules and inverters, etc. within the smart grid test complex.
They also travelled to Udo Island, where they participated in a teamwork experience program known as “Action Power-up” as well as the Ilchulbong Peak Sunrise trekking program, which is designed to help them communicate with their seniors and colleagues and build up their teamwork.
Lee Min-jae, one of the new employees, said, “I am very proud to have participated in this orientation program, which has allowed me to communicate with my seniors and colleagues, observe the company’s new growth engine, smart grid technology, and picture my future vision in the company.” He added, “Back in the workplace, the energy I got today will surely serve me well. I pledge to grow together with the company.”
LSIS CHO Park Hae-ryong said, “The Jeju training program, launched in 2010, aims to congratulate new family members of LSIS on joining the company and to inspire them with confidence to lead the growth of the company. During the training period, the new recruits were continuously challenged to ask questions and seek answers, and to picture the future of LSIS, giving them precious experience.”
The new employees will officially join the company in January next year, when they will undergo four weeks of training including a three-week integrated LSIS Group training session and one week of subsidiary training.
